| Policies—Compliance Requirements |
Due within 30 days after the Policy Effective Date (Colorado Revised Statutes 8-44-101). IAIABC Form POC1 (as a Binder) may be submitted if the policy will not be issued within 30 days after the Policy Effective Date. (This does not eliminate the need to submit the policy.) |
| Cancellation— Compliance Requirements |
Due within 30 days after the Cancellation Effective Date. (8-44-110 C.R.S.) Colorado is not a continuous coverage state; Nonrenewal cancellations are not required. |
| Reinstatements— Compliance Requirements |
Due within 30 days after the Reinstatement Effective Date. (8-44-110 C.R.S.) |
| FEIN—Compliance Requirements |
Required for each named insured operating in Colorado. If FEINs are not reported, policy is considered not received for the FEIN. (8-47-111 C.R.S.) |
| Fines— Compliance Requirements |
Statute 8-43-304 (C.R.S.) allows fines up to $500 per day to be assessed (beginning the 31st day after the Policy Effective Date) for late reporting. If FEINs are not reported, policy is not considered received for the FEIN. |
| Appeals— Compliance Requirements |
Appeals must be filed with the State within 20 days from the date of the order’s certificate of mailing. After you have complied with the timeframes and other rules for submitting policy information and filing appeals, if NCCI can assist you with your appeal, please contact NCCI’s Customer Service Center. |
