Policies—Compliance Requirements |
Due within 10 days after the Policy Effective Date.
IAIABC Form POC1 (as a Binder) may be submitted if the New Business policy will not be issued within 10 days after the Policy Effective Date. (This does not eliminate the need to submit the policy.) The binder will automatically cancel 90 days after the effective date if a new policy or renewal has not been accepted.
|
Cancellation—Compliance Requirements |
Carrier shall file immediately the Cancellation Effective Date. Termination of any policy of insurance issued under provisions of KRS342:340(2) will take effect no greater than 10 days prior to receipt of notification, unless the employer has obtained other insurance and DWC has been notified.
Kentucky is a continuous coverage state; Non-renewal Cancellations are also required to be filed under provisions of KRS342:340(2). A non-renewal is held to the same standard as a cancellation.
