NCCI's Texas Products and Services

NCCI is offering carriers the opportunity to elect to license the following Texas Products and Services package:

• Voluntary Loss Costs and Retrospective Rating Plan Manual Filings and Approval Circulars
• Voluntary Loss Costs
• Retrospective Rating Values
• Rate Table Data

You may elect to license the Texas Products and Services package at an additional cost. If you elect to obtain this license, we will prepare an attachment to your Affiliation Agreement  detailing these changes. The attachment will be sent under separate cover to the signer of the contract within your organization and should be executed in order to receive access to the filings.

Carriers Not Electing to License Texas Products and Services

Carriers that have not elected to license Texas Products and Services, but are affiliated in other NCCI states can access other products for writing Texas workers compensation insurance, such as:

• Retrospective Rating Plan Manual, including the Texas state exception pages and excluding Texas Retrospective Rating Values
• Retrospective Rating Plan Manual User's Guide, including the Texas state exception pages

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), Basic Workers Compensation Manual, Experience Rating Plan Manual, and Classification Codes Alpha and Numeric will now be available from TDI's website.

Non-Carrier Customers

Non-carrier customers may purchase an informational/reference copy of NCCI's Voluntary Loss Costs for Texas for an additional charge.

Contains rules, classifications with descriptions for each classification, and state-specific exceptions for writing workers compensation insurance in the voluntary market.

Tax and Assessment Directory—Texas
Offers a state-by-state compilation of workers compensation taxes and assessments. Includes the tax or assessment bases, how the amounts are determined, available premium tax credits, historical tax levels, applicable tax multipliers, state agency contact names, and the statutes related to the taxes and assessments.

Filing Guide for Rates and Forms—Texas
Contains state-specific filing and rate and rule requirements. The guide explains exactly what is required to file in any state, with step-by-step instructions and state-specific rules for filing rates, policy forms, and endorsements.
