This Reference Guide is an overview of the Proof of Coverage (POC) compliance programs for each NCCI POC state. It informs you of when your policy documents for each state are due at NCCI, what penalties each state can assess, and these states' appeals processes. We keep you up to date as states make changes within their programs. Overview of Information Verified by the States NCCI is working in cooperation with each of our POC states to bring you this Reference Guide, accessed from the state listing below. Contents include requirements for reporting policy data to NCCI (the POC data provider). All details were verified and approved by each state, which includes the following categories of information: State contact information-Names, addresses and numbers for the organization that oversees the workers compensation coverage for that state. How NCCI provides policy data to the state-How often NCCI transmits data to the state and the format(s) used to transmit data: - IAIABC POC Format-International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) developed this industry standard for communicating policy data. Data is submitted electronically through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and NCCI provides delivery of policy information through our IPOC® service.
